Eucharist

"Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."    John 6:35

Children at First Communion

Eucharist means thanksgiving. This is when Christ’s body and blood are offered and then received by the parishioner in the form of bread and wine. Children are customarily prepared to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion while in grade 2. For those enrolled in a Catholic elementary school, this involves a period of preparation combining school work and home catechesis, together with regular participation at Sunday mass. Children not attending Catholic elementary school are prepared through catechesis in the home and in church.

To register your child for our parish preparation process and for the reception of these Sacraments, please complete the registration form, a copy of the form can be picked up at the parish office.  If your child was baptized in another parish, please attach a copy of his/her Baptismal Certificate. If you don’t have a copy of the Baptismal Certificate, you can obtain one from the parish in which Baptism was celebrated.

For additional information please contact Fr. Rafal Tomon at the parish office (519) 886-0342 ext 4.
