No love is purer than the love of God

Boiler - The church is heated by a Hydronic (Hot Water) boiler installed in 2003. Unfortunately, in late November of this past year, it developed an unrepairable water leak.  The Property & Maintenance Committee and Fr. Rafal with the approval of the Diocese decided to replace the boiler which had already exceeded the normal 15-year life expectancy.  The Diocese approved an estimated $55,000 contract to replace the boiler.  The new boiler installation will be completed by January 12th. The new unit will be less costly to operate as it is much higher in efficiency at 97% vs the old unit at 85%.  In addition to the boiler, a water softener will be added to the church as required by the boiler manufacturer. Parish Hall Kitchen- The kitchen was reviewed by the Diocese in 2022 and it was determined that a few improvements were needed. A budget of $16,000 was set. The costs will be offset by a $5,000 grant for kitchen improvements. Changes include Add Electrical receptacles to the island Replace the exhaust fan with a more powerful unit including improved airflow patterns within the kitchen Add dedicated receptacles in the Hall to allow plugging in the coffee urns along each wall updating other electrical issues add a dedicated faucet for unsoftened drinking water Music and Children’s Room Renovation- The existing rooms are small. It was determined that a single larger room would be more useful for the various programs. Proposed changes include Demolish the wall separating the Music Room and the Activity Room Add additional Electrical receptacles Carpet the floor and paint the walls Add new shelving and storage The cost of this project has not been fully determined as yet Hall Air Conditioning- The current hall ventilation is inadequate for the size of the hall.  A study is underway to bring fresh air into the hall and to provide air conditioning.  We have received budget quotations that are being reviewed.
